Welcome to the home of Swiss Charm Bernese Mountain Dogs.  I have had bernese for 13 years.  I first learned about responsible breeding through my work at a veterinary office back in 1996.  I worked there for 15 years.  Bernese have become a passion of mine.  Their health and temperament are so important to me.  The use of Bernergarde.org and Orthopedic Foundation For Animals websites are very helpful in my research. I am very happy with the beauty and intelligence that I am producing as well. Busy is out of an Australian import, Zanzebern Defender, who is world traveller winning many Best in Shows and Best in Specialty shows around the world, he also is a champion in many countries.  Siren goes back to the "Adesa" line from Bobbi Kinley-Blewett, many Best In Shows and Best in Specialty shows behind her.  I also have a male in Brazil being shown and co-owned with Adesa.  I have produced many AKC champions.  I have also produced several dogs that have gone on to get therapy dog, rally, and obedience titles.  Healthy, mentally sound pets are my first priority. Our dogs are house dogs, there is no kennel building or barn situation.  There are fenced yards and 14 acres for them to run on.

Our puppies are born and raised in our home.  The puppies are in our living room for four weeks and then moved to a finished room with tile floors so they have plenty of room to safely run and play.  They are given toys of all shapes, sizes, textures, and noises to help in socialization.  They are taken outside everyday to get used to noises and different surroundings. They are pet/show graded at 7 weeks as well as temperament tested.  The temperament test as well as my observations birth to 7 weeks help make sure you get the right personality for your lifestyle. When you get a puppy from me you get a book(that I make) with tons of training articles, along with info from me about vaccines, diet, exercise, copies of parents health clearances, 4 generation pedigree with clearances and dates of birth/death so you can see the longevity, and studies done on why you should wait to spay or neuter.  I am always there for advise throughout your puppy's life.  My vaccine information comes from Dr. Jean Dodds research.

The Bernese Mountain dog Club of America(www.bmdca.org) is a great web site that has an article called tips for buying a bernese(from a responsible breeder), you can go to that site of email me to get that article.

I am a member of Tioga County Kennel Club(TCKC), Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, Bernese Mountain Dog club of the Finger Lakes, and AKC BREEDER OF MERIT.
